Does Zane, do any of us need a savior? Someone who will save me?

A quick story to illustrate the power of the Savior in our life.

Story of the bike ride flat tire - When we were riding our bikes from SLC to St George, I blew out a tire. Everyone had to keep moving on without me. I sat on that hot pavement alone for sometime. At last, the support crew - Nancy and her pickup truck - came and helped me. She had the tools that were necessary to help me overcome this obstacle, so that I could get my bike fixed and get on with the next leg of the journey.

We are all on a journey of our own. Each day has hard things in it to do. But we can do hard things. We can learn to endure and even learn to embrace the uphills when we are surrounded by loved ones who encourage us on. It's especially comforting when we know there is a support crew out there who have the power to help us overcome all our obstacles.

We have each other to encourage us and to help us along the road. But sometimes terrible things happen. Usually the team can encourage us and help us. Sometimes however, the problem we have is so bad, that it can only be fixed by the Savior. He's the only one who can come pick us up, and fix the hurt. The Savior is the support that will help Zane, and he is the support that will help us heal and keep moving on our journey.

I believe that while Zane often found side trips off the main road, he always found his way back home. Even in his death, the last choice he made on this earth, he chose to come home where he knew he was loved.
